Web app development
offers endless
possibilities.
Trying to mould pre-existing systems to work for you?
Why not build your own bespoke application solution, catered to your business.
Web apps are applications developed so that they can be accessed via any internet browser. This style of app is rapidly becoming the favoured option for those who were previously considering native apps as web apps are cheaper to develop, easier to maintain & much more flexible.
Our clients work with us for their web app development for a number of reasons. That could be to set themselves apart from their competition, streamline a complex process or even to bring an entirely new product to market. If that sounds like you, let’s see if we can help.
Frequently asked questions
about web apps.
What is a web app?
A web application (or web app) is an application software that runs on a web server, unlike ‘app store’ style applications software programs that are stored locally on the Operating System (OS) of a device e.g. your iPhone. Web applications are accessed by the user through a web browser with an active internet connection so that anyone can use them (or not if you prefer to restrict access!) on any device.
How much does a web app cost?
It depends entirely on how complex your web app needs to be. A simple app could only cost a few £1,000, however at the other extreme, the most complex developments for large-scale projects can cost upwards of 6 figures to create.
How long does a web app take to develop?
Again, it all depends on the project. Planning is always a key stage and can sometimes take weeks/months depending on how tight the initial brief is. Then when it comes to development some apps could only take a few weeks to develop, others, more complex apps may take 12 months+.
Does my business need a web app or native mobile app?
There are pro’s and con’s to both sides. The main key points to consider when deciding if a web app is for you is:
- A web app is often less expensive than an app
- A web app works on all devices
- A web app is easier to link to and share than an app
- Web apps are easier and cheaper to maintain
