We’re very proud to announce that DigitalDinos first ever staff member and digital marketing apprentice, Jess Moon, has been awarded the accolade of Apprentice of the Year! Jess Moon, 20, is a trainee account manager at the DigitalDinos and was one of just a handful of winners at The News Business Awards held at The Guildhall in Portsmouth on Friday 1st February. Now in its 18th year, these prestigious awards, run by Portsmouth’s daily newspaper, are given to the brightest businesses and professionals in the area.
Currently studying a Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship at Portsmouth College, Jess has worked for DigitalDinos for over six months and is thriving with a string of satisfied customers under her belt.
DigitalDinos was launched in 2016 by Carl Hewitt and Reece Matthews, two former apprentices themselves and were keen to offer a student the chance to work in their business. Since joining the team in July 2018, Jess has project managed a number of campaigns and has helped to drive the agency to further success.
Upon receiving her award Jess said: ‘I am very happy. Everyone said I would win but I said “there’s no chance” so I am very pleased and a bit shocked. I have never been to an awards night and it’s been incredible.’
Reece Matthews, Co-Director said: ‘Everyone at DigitalDinos is proud of Jess. She’s a wonderful addition to our team and has excelled in her work. Her dedication to providing our customers with a high-quality service has been remarkable so this award is much deserved!’. Carl continued, ‘We’d like to thank her tutor, Craig McHugh as he has been instrumental in her gaining both the skills and confidence to succeed. We’re looking forward to seeing what Jess achieves next!’
